My Current Obsession: Clinique Pep-Start

I am an avid moisturizer fan, always on the huntΒ to find something to keep my skin looking and feeling hydrated. I have combination skin, although in the winter my skin is more dry and in the summer it produces more oil (surprise, surprise).

I came across the Clinique Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer a few months ago and instantly fell in love. It’s my current every-day primer. Not only is it hydrating, but it also minimizes the looks of your pores and imperfections! To me, it acts like it’sΒ part moisturizer / part primer. It’s also fragrance free, which is great for anyone who has sensitive skin.

Clinique7.JPGI love this on its own, but I especially love the way it looks as a primer under my foundation. My skin really does have a “blurred” appearance when I use this. I find that most pore-minimizing primers tend to dry out my skin, but this somehow works and keeps me moisturized!

One downfall is that in the winter months, I don’t think it’s hydrating enough on its own to keep your skin feeling nourished. I always paired this with a true moisturizer. However,Β I am really excited to see how this performs into the spring and summer, when my skin tends to get oily by mid-day.

I love this product so much, and I don’t think enough people are giving it the hype it deserves.Β I’m always grateful when a product can help hide those everyday imperfections!

  1. I can’t wait to try this! I am never satisfied with primers and need a pore minimizer. Also sounds like our skin types are very similar! Thanks for posting πŸ™‚
