We had the most incredible experience this past weekend when we saw Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in concert. If you don’t know, I absolutely LOVE Harry Potter. I’ve read all the books multiple times, I’ve seen all of the movies at their midnight debuts, and I’ve been to Harry Potter world – – I’m obsessed. When we learned that the movie was going to be shown here in Louisville, accompanied by live music from the Louisville Orchestra, we simply couldn’t miss it!
It was incredible. The crowd was really interacting with the movie, clapping for the houses, booing at the Slytherins and Dursleys, and cheering on Harry, Ron and Hermoine. Watching the orchestra play the music live really made me realize how important the score is to the movie. There’s so many moments where the magical music has such a profound impact, it wouldn’t have been the same without it!
I wore this top that I bought last week from Topshop. I have been obsessing over it for months, and finally decided I just needed to go ahead and buy it. I’m so glad I did! It’s elegant, but the cold shoulder and ruffles make for a really fun element! It’s going to be the perfect top to transition from summer into fall too! I bought the color Lilac, but it also comes in black and white (& yes, I’ve considered buying it in all three!).
I paired it with high waisted black shorts (mine are out of stock, but these are similar), but I also cannot wait to pair it with my high waisted white shorts (from last week) and my navy jersey slacks (seen here). This would also look great with a blush midi skirt, or even your favorite ripped jeans! I don’t think you can go wrong with how you style this top.
